It looks like the US Constitution Article V Convention of States movement has now become a Religious Movement as well. They are now offering a Biblical Citizenship in Modern America class which offers the following: Learn the biblical, historical, and constitutional foundation of freedom. Know your religious liberty rights. Gain more constitutional knowledge than 99% of Americans. Learn tangible action steps for preserving liberty. Be entertained, inspired, and educated. I believe this is a big mistake. It's bad enough that the movement constantly asks for monetary support but to now associate the movement with religious teachings is not what the movement was originally about. This meandering into this area of our society will backfire on the movement. They should keep the movement solely about our government, our constitution and the corruption within our federal and state governments. Everything else will just end up being a distraction and prevent any real progress from being made. After all, there is a separation between religion (church) and government (State) that is clearly defined within our constitution. Our founding fathers appreciated that mixing the two would only cause problems and split society into opposing groups and impede real progress in the democratization of country and its citizens. I hope Mark Meckler realizes this as soon as possible. Our movement is not about religion but about our government straying from the constitution. Religious influence on how we stop that from happening will be the area of this movement that causes infighting that will eventually bring us down.
